EnrollmentEnrollment QualificationsStudents must exhibit an interest in one or more of the STEM disciplines and must demonstrate a willingness to commit to the self-discipline required by a rigorous academic program. In addition, parents and/or guardians must participate in the application interview process. A Culture of High ExpectationsTogether with a counselor, each student develops an individualized graduation plan which will lead to either a “distinguished” or a "recognized" diploma. This plan places the student on an accelerated college preparatory track as it includes dual credit (high school/college) courses that better prepare them for 21st century college careers. In addition, students participate in interactive field experiences, summer enrichment programs and internships. An Innovative Learning EnvironmentStudents are immersed in a learning environment that encourages them to identify, create and solve problems while meeting the rigorous academic demands of such disciplines as science, technology, engineering and mathematics. In addition to the rigorous STEM-emphasized college preparatory education, E-STEM Academy students receive curricular and extracurricular activities in the visual and performing arts.
